New York, NY – White Ops, the global leader in bot mitigation, today announced its selection by TAG Cyber as a Distinguished Vendor for bot mitigation in this year’s 2020 Security Annual.
As part of the extensive report, Dr. Ed Amoroso, CEO of Tag Cyber interviewed Tamer Hassan, CEO and Co-Founder of White Ops. In the report, Hassan explains the architectures of the most sophisticated botnets, detailing how near perfectly mimic human behaviors when they take over accounts, commit payment fraud, click on ads, visit websites, or fill out forms. What makes bots dangerous is the ease with which a cybercriminal can scale up their activity. That is, anything that can be done by a human, can be done faster and cheaper with an attack by a million bots, making them an appealing option for growing a nefarious business.
“Increasingly, enterprises are being targeted by botnets and they want to know what they can do to stop the attacks as well as prevent future ones,” said Tamer Hassan, CEO and Co-Founder of White Ops. “We’re big believers of the work Dr. Amoroso and his team at TAG Cyber are doing. We are excited to have White Ops be recognized as a 2020 TAG Cyber Distinguished Vendor for our efforts in the prevention, detection, and mitigation of sophisticated bot-based attacks and fraud.”
White Ops is part of an industry collective supporting the democratization of cyber security research and advisory materials. Each distinguished vendor was selected by Dr. Amoroso, and each also agrees to support and promote the 2020 TAG Cyber report.
The 2020 Security Annual is part of an annual series from TAG Cyber that has published every September since 2016. The massive report offers expert guidance, analysis, and education on fifty different aspects of the cyber security ecosystem.
“The White Ops solution is led by a fantastic team, starting with Tamer Hassan as the CEO,” added Amoroso. “We are fortunate to have their support.”
