White Ops Wins Chief Executive Officer of the Year and Most Innovative Fraud Prevention Award In 8th Annual InfoSec Awards at #RSAC 2020
NEW YORK, FEBRUARY 24, 2020 – White Ops, the global leader in bot mitigation, is proud to announce it was awarded two awards from Cyber Defense Magazine (CDM), the industry’s leading electronic information security magazine. White Ops’ CEO and Co-Founder, Tamer Hassan, was named the CDM Editor’s Choice - Chief Executive Officer of the Year, and the White Ops Bot Mitigation Platform was named winner in the Most Innovative Fraud Prevention category.
Hassan was appointed Chief Executive Officer by White Ops’ board of directors in April 2019. He had served as Chief Technology Officer since co-founding White Ops in 2012, and played a pivotal role in scaling White Ops’ Bot Mitigation Platform to support many of the Internet’s largest platforms while aggressively preventing and taking down the most sophisticated and malicious bot threats. On November 27, 2018, White Ops unveiled that it had dismantled 3ve, the largest and most sophisticated ad fraud operations to date in collaboration with the FBI, Google, and other key partners. 3ve had infected 1.8 million computers, counterfeited more than 10,000 websites, and generated between 3 to 12 billion requests per day to sell fake online advertising. For Hassan’s leadership role in the takedown of 3ve, he was recognized by Fast Company as The Most Creative Person in Business in 2019.
“Sophisticated bots look and act like humans when they visit websites, click on ads, fill out forms, take over accounts, and commit payment fraud making it challenging for fraud and security teams to distinguish real users from impersonating fraudsters,” said Hassan. “White Ops takes a multilayered approach that enables us to detect sophisticated bots with unmatched accuracy — all without compromising anyone’s experience. It is an honor for the company and for me to be recognized by Cyber Defense Magazine and this group of esteemed judges.”
The White Ops Bot Mitigation Platform protects enterprises across the globe—including the largest internet platforms—from sophisticated bots. The company recently announced Application Integrity, a new offering designed to protect enterprises from account takeover attacks, automated account creation, and web scraping. Leveraging the industry leadership the company has fostered with its Advertising Integrity and Marketing Integrity products that today verify the humanity of more than 1 trillion interactions per week, White Ops enables enterprises to best protect their advertising, marketing and applications from sophisticated bot attacks.
“White Ops embodies three major features the judges look for to become winners: understanding tomorrow’s threats, today, providing a cost-effective solution and innovating in unexpected ways that can help stop the next breach,” said Gary S. Miliefsky, Publisher of Cyber Defense Magazine.
